Renowned as “Die Katzenkünstlerin” (The Cat Artist), Rosina Wachtmeister’s signature pieces include her uniquely designed half-moon faced multi-colored cats.
Her designs are featured on a variety of merchandise from porcelain statues and sculptures to home décor, games, puzzles and calendars to high end stylish umbrellas, wrapping paper, gift bags, gift boxes and many other items

Rosina was born in Vienna and raised near the lush green valleys, mountains and calm waters of Lake Attersee, Austria. At the age of 14 her parents decided to emigrate to the exotic country of Brazil.
While in Brazil Rosina and her younger sister attended a German school. Her father was a doctor and her mother an architect and ceramist. Rosina later went on to study fine arts, sculpture and stage design.

It was Rosina’s first great love that led her to move to Capena, Italy where she still resides today.
She enjoys maintaining her beautiful 5 acre garden which is filled with lots of plants and animals.

“My style changes every time I sit down and paint”! Rosina’s style has evolved over the years and what originally started as puppets in the shape of cats actually developed into her signature RWL designs.
Her loyal clients are always coming back for her signature cat collection.

Today Rosina enjoys making wooden sculptures, spending quality time in her garden and wishes those dear to her both “health and happiness”.
